Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how EntentAI, Inc. (“EntentAI”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the LaneMarker application at www.getlanemarker.com and the EntentAI website at www.ententai.com (together, the “Services”).
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Terms of Use.
Contents
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information you give us
- Account information. When you create an account we collect your name, email address, and — if you register with a password rather than a third-party identity provider — a password, which is stored only in hashed form by our authentication provider and is never visible to us. We send a one-time verification code to your email address to confirm that you control it.
- Project content. Information you enter into or upload to the Services, including project locations, drawn roadway geometry, site and property parameters, uploaded plan sets, drawings, spreadsheets and images, and any notes, prompts, or instructions you provide to the in-app assistants. Some of this content may contain personal information if you choose to include it; you control what you upload.
- Support and correspondence. Messages you send us, including anything you include in a support request.
1.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage and activity records. Which features and analyses you run, when, and the credits consumed or granted. We keep a per-account ledger of these entries so we can operate metering and billing and so you can review your own history.
- Device and connection data. IP address, browser type and version, operating system, approximate region derived from IP, and timestamps, collected by our hosting and authentication infrastructure as part of serving and securing the Services.
- Diagnostics. Error reports and server logs generated when something fails, used to debug and to detect abuse.
- Local storage. We store a session token and a small number of preferences in your browser so you stay signed in and your settings persist. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking on the Services.
1.3 Location information
The Services are map-based. When you search for, pan to, select, or draw on a location, that location is sent to our mapping, geocoding, and place-data providers so the map and analysis can be produced. This reflects the area you are analysing, not necessarily where you are. We do not collect precise device GPS location in the background; if a feature ever offers to use your device location, your browser will ask you first and you may decline.
1.4 Payment information
If and when you purchase credits or a subscription, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. Card numbers and other payment credentials are submitted directly to that processor and are never received or stored on our servers. We receive only a transaction reference, the amount, the status, and limited billing details needed for tax and accounting.
2. Google account data
If you choose “Sign in with Google”, Google asks for your consent and then shares
with us a limited profile: your name, your email address, your profile picture URL, and a stable
Google account identifier. We request only the basic openid, email, and
profile scopes. We use this data solely to create and authenticate your LaneMarker
account and to display your name and picture in the interface.
Limited Use disclosure. LaneMarker’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, we do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve the Services, to comply with applicable law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition, and we do not allow humans to read it except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, to comply with applicable law, or where the data is aggregated and de-identified.
You may revoke LaneMarker’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google account permissions page. Doing so stops future Google sign-in but does not by itself delete your LaneMarker account — see section 9.
3. How we use information
- To create, authenticate, and secure your account.
- To provide the Services: running the analyses, projections, reports, and documents you request, and saving your work so you can return to it.
- To meter usage, apply credits, process payments, and prevent abuse of trial allowances.
- To provide support and respond to your messages.
- To maintain, debug, and improve the Services, including fixing failures you encounter.
- To send transactional messages — verification codes, receipts, security notices, and material changes to these policies. We will not send you marketing email unless you opt in, and you can opt out at any time.
- To comply with legal obligations and to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
4. AI processing of your content
The Services use artificial intelligence to generate analyses, projections, narratives, and documents. To do this, the content you supply and the context of your project are transmitted to third-party AI model providers acting as our processors, and their output is returned to you.
We select providers that are contractually committed not to use content submitted through their business APIs to train their general-purpose models. We do not use your project content to train our own models or those of any provider. We may store the inputs and outputs of a run against your account so results persist and so we can debug failures, and we may review specific runs where you ask us to investigate a problem or where we must investigate abuse or a security incident.
A current list of the third-party providers and other subprocessors we use is available on request at support@ententai.com.
AI-generated output can be incomplete or wrong. It is provided as an engineering and planning aid, not as professional advice, and it does not replace review by a licensed professional.
5. How we share information
We share information only in the following circumstances.
| Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Cloud hosting, database, storage, and authentication providers | To host the Services, store your account and project data, and sign you in |
| Mapping, geocoding, imagery, and place-data providers | To render maps and resolve the locations you search for or select |
| AI model providers | To generate the analyses and documents you request (see section 4) |
| Email delivery provider | To send verification codes, receipts, and service notices |
| Payment processor | To take payment for credits or subscriptions |
| Professional advisers | Accountants, auditors, and lawyers, under duties of confidentiality |
| Authorities and other parties | Where we are legally required to disclose, or where disclosure is necessary to investigate fraud or protect the rights and safety of any person |
| An acquirer | In connection with a merger, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets — subject to this policy continuing to apply to the transferred information |
If your account is provisioned by an employer or organisation, an administrator of that organisation may be able to see the projects and usage associated with it.
We may also publish aggregated or de-identified statistics that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
6. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following bases: performance of a contract — to give you the account and Services you asked for; legitimate interests — to secure the Services, prevent abuse, debug failures, and improve what we offer, balanced against your rights; consent — where you opt in to marketing or to an optional feature that asks for it, revocable at any time; and legal obligation — for tax, accounting, and lawful requests.
7. Retention
We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Project content and saved results are kept until you delete them or delete your account. Usage and credit ledger entries, and transaction records, are kept for as long as needed for billing integrity, dispute resolution, and tax and accounting obligations — typically at least seven years. Server logs and diagnostics are kept for a short operational period and then deleted or de-identified. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule, so deleted data may persist in backups for a limited period after deletion.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, port it to another service, and withdraw consent. Residents of California and certain other US states may also have the right to know what we collect and to opt out of sale or sharing — and, as stated above, we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise a right, email support@ententai.com from the address on your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting. We respond within the period required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA or UK you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority.
9. Deleting your account
You can request deletion of your account and its associated project content at any time by emailing support@ententai.com from your account address. On deletion we remove your account record, your project content, and your saved results, subject to the retention exceptions in section 7 for records we are required to keep. Deletion is permanent and your work cannot be recovered afterwards, so export anything you want to keep first.
10. Security
We protect information in transit with TLS and at rest with the encryption provided by our cloud infrastructure. Access to production systems is restricted to personnel who need it and is protected by multi-factor authentication. Server-side access rules restrict each account to its own data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and tell us immediately at support@ententai.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
11. International transfers
EntentAI, Inc. is incorporated in Delaware, United States, and the Services are operated from the United States. If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses for those transfers.
12. Children
The Services are not directed to children. You must be at least 18 years old to use them, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change we will update the “last revised” date above and, where required, notify you by email at the address on your account or by a prominent notice in the Services. Your continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
